Government in meltdown just before the Elections

It is not an edifying sight to see the whole cabinet scared witless because of their own collective and individual performances.
Will Eric Pickles be Laughing on May 4th

Eric Pickles saying to anyone who will listen that on Thursday May 3rd the coalition is likely to loose over 700 seats. He seems to see this statement as a gritty northerner just seeing the truth and stating it plainly to cover what they anticipate as being a "Bad Night at the polls". It is a shame that they could not be just as honest about their policies, telling us all just how devastating they will be in the poor and the vulnerable.

Will They be Laughing on May 4th?

George Osbourne known in the ranks of the conservative party as the Arch Strategist, who successfully brought the minds of the public to reject the Alternative Vote. It will be George Osbourne's budget which will seal the ruin of the hard working activists of the coalition, his economic strategy which has so badly gone wrong as we slip in to double dip recession. It will be George Osbourne Strategy which opened the door to the seemingly endless bad news stories over the last couple of months leading to the worst lead up to an election of ANY party in living memory. It is George Osbourne's strategy which will, at this point in the economic cycle, still have the worst of the cuts to come, starting from the lowest point possible, and leading the Tories into a torrid couple of years. If this truly is strategy, and it is planned, it shows him to be what he is, a total novice, untried, experimenting with our future and failing us all.

Will he be so strident and happy on May 4th when the public vote on his welfare reforms?

Ian Duncan Smith, watches as he is stabbed in the back by the treasury, as they demand another 10% budget cut from welfare. He has studied the system and we all agree it needed reform and we all agree that the so called scroungers needed weeding out, but now his grand plan to streamline the welfare system has come a cropper as the real right wing Tories smell blood. They don't want a welfare state at all, they don't want people to receive money from the state, they want to give them food handouts from charities instead. They want to drive them into Ghetto's, deprive them of cash and force them into a poverty cycle not seen since the 1930's. This week he has woken up to the threat and is saying it is wrong at this time to cut further. Mr Duncan Smith it is too late, on your back, on your watch, and under the guise of your own "needed reforms" some of the nastiest pernicious hateful policies will be pinned to your mast. It will be "Duncan Smith wot dun it to the poor", for all your high minded concern of doing the right thing, you will just be seen as the person who let them destroy the lives of millions of UK citizens.

Nice Shoes, but an appalling Home Secretary

Theresa May, the token woman in the cabinet at the top table, will be remembered for her love of shoes. For she cannot be remembered for any good she did at the home office. From the Stony silence after the speech she gave to the police confederation, to the fiasco over Abu Qatada, she has been the worst Home Secretary in living memory. This week the fiasco over boarder controls adds to the belief that she is just not in control of her brief in any way.

Trust me I am a politician

Jeremy Hunt, I mean what can you say, it is clear to anyone what has gone on. Cameron agreed either directly or through horse riding friend disgraced Rebecca Brookes that he would nod through the take over of SKY in return for support by the press at the election. Vince Cable got in the way so he had to be removed and was in a journalist sting. Jeremy Hunt went overboard showing us all a little too much that he was scrupulous in taking advice, criticising Murdoch just enough, going through a Faux lengthy process of investigation then nodding the takeover through on instruction from Cameron. Now Ofcom are looking into the possibility of Murdoch loosing his broadcasting license all together. Mr Hunt still thinks he is a fit and proper person.......you just laugh out loud when you say it.

30 pieces of silver

Nick Clegg, well he is in government but not in power, despite all his EU experience the Tories have run rings round him, throwing him to the wolves time after time after time. They have made him eat his own shoes just for him to be able to say.....I was once Deputy Prime Minister. A principled man, heart in the right place has watched as the Tories have ripped his heart from his chest and fed it to the right wing of the Conservative Party. He has led his party into government, but ultimately to ruin, dashed on the rocks of abandoned principle.

Academies his vanity project, but its out children he is experimenting on

Michael Gove's plans to take ALL schools into the "Academy Status" is foundering, lucky for him there are so many other big stories of incompetence cross the government his incompetence has barely been picked up by the press. Opted out schools are now finding out what it is like with no support when things go wrong and problems are mounting. Many of the free schools which are included in the figures don't even have a building let alone teachers and children. Standards are slipping and criticism reigns from all sides as once again children are the casualty of a vanity project gone wrong.

PR............lol don't make me laugh!!

Cameron, go onto youtube and look how relaxed he used to be in opposition, so easy it was to snipe at an unpopular PM Gordon Brown, picking away at every little thing that goes wrong. Now look at the latest interview with Andrew Marr. Haggared, tired tetchy and no longer believing his own spin. Before he actually believed what he was doing was right, now it is clear he is not so sure. He was hailed as the King of Spin, the Heir to Blair and Thatcher......lol. Its so comical this arrogance has turned out to be his Achilles heel, he was so sure, so believable, now he is seen as a liability as he losses the trust of the electorate every day. He has gone from hero to zero in a matter of months, he is fatally wounded and lashing out at anyone who he thinks might be able to take the heat for his incompetence. Still at the dispatch box he sounds like a politician in opposition not in power, I genuinely believe he never made the transition. He's lost it big style, he will loose it on May 3rd and the Tory wolf pack will start to circle.

Chris Hulne - well we all know what happened to him

Liam Fox - another who thought he and his cronies was above the rules

David Laws - Ditto

Vince Cable - I made the effort to read his tome on the reasons for the financial crisis. This sage economist incorruptible by the murdoch's he may be, but economically he looks as far back as Napoleonic times to justify his analysis of the crisis in the 21st century. After you have waded through the treacle of analysis you will see that his conclusions and advice is not being taken by anyone, couple that with his wholesale selling out of Lib Dem principles and his part in the double dip recession you see another man taken in by the Tories, and trotted out far too much as their chief apologist.

Andrew Lansley, I have written much about this man, a man who spent over 7 years of his life preparing the ground for his NHS reforms. Only to turn into a demented 6 year old who insists on getting his own way, despite being told it would be bad for him. Screeching and shouting at the dispatch box, it was time and votes that got the bill through, and nothing and I mean nothing that Lansley did. They cheered and banged the tables as the bill was passed, little realising that that was just the beginning, the real trouble is ahead, and will build and build just in time for the election of 2015.

Grant Schappes, he smiles and the faces of the children forced into bed and breakfast shudder in fear. He smiles again, and the social cleansing starts again in another borough of London. He smiles again the glee in his face clear as he announces that he has no intention of building more social housing, he wants landlords to make a killing from the public purse. He smiles knowing he has fulfilled the right wing dream of smashing housing support for the poor......and still he smiles.

We could go on and list more and more hapless and incompetent ministers and where they have failed in their duty to us the people of the united kingdom. I fear that Cameron being so weak and unpopular will also oversee the breakup of the United Kingdom, it will take a couple of decades to put back what this bunch of "Tory Boys" have broken and I hope that even though they have smashed much of what they were entrusted with, I know that all of the services and support for the people of this country can be restored, renewed, reinvigorated and this country can be proud again of the way it treats it old sick and vulnerable.

If you have the opportunity to vote against the coalition in the elections on Thursday, you have the the chance to help us all, literally everyone around the country......there must be a better way.

  1. But who should I vote for? Labour? No, not unless they say something about the mess ESA and ATOS have caused seriously ill people! Labour has not argued with the ConDems about this. I've asked them but they stay very quiet! My view of Labour, at the moment, is they seems to be just as bad as ConDems.
